The Chicken Book

In 1972, a historian and biologist collaborated to teach a course on the chicken at Cowell College at UCSC. The result was The Chicken Book (1975), by Page Smith and Charles Daniel, Being an Inquiry into the Rise and Fall, Use and Abuse, Triumph and Tragedy of Gallus domesticus. Read it and celebrate the cosmic chicken.
